March 11, 2019 — REDDING, CA — Swim Foundations, the Redding startup that aims to enhance swim education in and outside of the Redding area, will be teaching swim lessons at the Riverview Golf and Country Club pool this summer, in addition to providing individualized lessons at local homes. Sign-ups for summer 2019 swim lessons are currently open.
Swim Foundations instructors have offered swim lessons in Redding in past summers, but these lessons have primarily catered to families with their own pools. With this new partnership, families who want lessons but don’t have a pool, or families who live far outside the Redding area, will now have access to high-quality instruction in essential water safety skills.
Swim Lessons at Riverview
Swim lessons at Riverview Golf and Country Club will be open to member and non-member families. This summer’s program will offer a variety of classes, including small group lessons for ages 3 to 5, Parent & Me classes for ages 6 months to 3 years, and a stroke development swim class for ages 6+ designed to prepare learners for swim team.
Swim Foundations’ teaching program is based in proven principles developed by local swim teaching legend Phoebe Natina, and has been used to teach generations of swimmers in northern California. It provides individualized instruction in a small group setting — challenging children to learn the vital skills they need to be independent in the water and laying the groundwork for athletic achievement in the water as they grow.
“From the beginning, I envisioned Swim Foundations as an organization that partners with various groups to enhance swimming education throughout the learn-to-swim community,” says Nina Gibbs, CEO and founder of Swim Foundations. “Our mission is collaborative. I’m thrilled that Riverview Golf and Country Club is helping us to bring results-oriented swim lessons to even more families in our area.”
Riverview Golf and Country Club is located at 4200 Bechelli Lane in Redding. Sign-ups for summer swim lessons with Swim Foundations, both at home pools and at Riverview, are currently open.
